About Cancer Genetics

The aim of Cancer Genetics is to publish high quality scientific papers on the cellular, genetic and molecular aspects of cancer, including cancer predisposition and clinical diagnostic applications. Specific areas of interest include descriptions of new chromosomal, molecular or epigenetic alterations in benign and malignant diseases; novel laboratory approaches for identification and characterization of chromosomal rearrangements or genomic alterations in cancer cells; correlation of genetic changes with pathology and clinical presentation; and the molecular genetics of cancer predisposition. To reach a basic science and clinical multidisciplinary audience, we welcome original full-length articles, reviews, meeting summaries, brief reports, and letters to the editor.

Cancer Genetics was previously published as Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics.

CCMC 2012

The Cancer Cytogenomics Microarray Consortium (CCMC) will hold its 3rd summer meeting August 6th to 7th, 2012 at the Hilton Rosemont Chicago-O’Hare Airport. The meeting will include invited presentations from leading cancer geneticists/genomicists, focusing on the clinical significance and recent developments in cancer genomic diagnosis, prognosis, and management. In addition, platform and poster presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts by the Scientific Program Committee. All abstracts will be published in Cancer Genetics.

Registration is open now. The deadline for abstract submission is April 16, 2012. For more information, please go to the CCMC website at http://www.cancergenomics.org.
